And have a good Friday night.

Random, but hey. [07 Aug 2005|01:56am]

[ mood | silly ]

Britta, if there is going to be a mix, Sir Mixalot's "Baby Got Back" should be on it. :P Not to say that Grace has a big butt, but that's the first ASS song that came to mind.

WTF, iTunes? [14 Mar 2005|09:17pm]

[ mood | aggravated ]

I am procrastinating in studying for APES, and thus I feel the need to relate this totally worthless anecdote to you guys.

So I'm listening to music on my computer through iTunes. All is well. Pretty songs are playing. I have something like 6,800 songs in my library.

I check my flist on LJ, pretty songs still playing. I look back at my iTunes library and my song list reades something like 5,700. Cue me going, "WTF? Where did a *thousand* of my songs go?" I got freaked out that I'd accidentally deleted a thousand songs and proceeded to add all of my music folders into iTunes again, thinking that maybe I'd deleted an entire folder or something. How that would be possible, I do not know as I never pressed the delete key. But still.

So my song count goes up a little bit, but only by about 20 songs after adding all of my folders back. I get distracted by my email for a second, and then come back to iTunes to check it out again. The song count is now 7,130 songs.

I mean, seriously. What is up with that, iTunes?

Also, totally unrelated!

May 3? Is THE BEST DAY EVER. Excluding the AP Calculus test, of course.

-Phantom of the Opera on DVD
-Gilmore Girls Season 3 on DVD
-Tom McRae's new CD is released - ETA: Actually, it was switched this morning to May 2nd. Still good though. (Oh, and it's called All Maps Welcome. Whee!)

So peeps. Maybe you'll see this before tomorrow...

Checked Century Theatres. Phantom's not playing, as far as I can tell from the website.

Boogeyman, Hide and Seek, Are We There Yet? and Coach Carter are. Bleh.

And also? Read THIS. Phantom in 15 Minutes... :D

[ mood | sad ]

Just so you guys know, I'm keeping my CD list updated for my own benefit. But if you ever want to check if I have a certain CD, it should be pretty much up to date.

Hey, it's the last day of 2004. Like you didn't know already.

I *knew* there was something else I was meaning to mention.

As Jenna suggested, a bunch of us should go to Amoeba!

[12 Dec 2004|06:01pm]

[ mood | mournful ]

Okay you guys, I seriously need something to look forward to after this week, or else I'm going to diiiiie. Therefore. A list of potential stuff that we're doing over break (we, uh, kinda need to figure this out anyway).

Dec. 17 (Friday) - Hanging out after school or maybe going to San Francisco. We have 6th, so we get out at 11:25, so we could potentially take bart over to SF after that for lunch and shopping afterwards or something, or just hang out. (Or, as I suggested to Grace, we could bake cookies, watch Pirates, and talk about sex.) Preferences? :)
Dec. 20 (Monday - or sometime around here, I don't know what the plan is) - Get together and give presents sometime around here. I don't know what else.
Dec. 29 (Wednesday) - There's that Vienna Teng concert in Berkeley. If people would like to go? I think we should order tickets soon, because they're cheaper now. Let me know, kay?
Some unknown time possibly - Ice skating? Were we planning on this or...not?

Also, I would personally like to:

a) Go see a movie with some of you guys - I wanna see Finding Neverland (Jooooohnny!) or Closer (uh, lots of pretty people with twisted relationships! Fun!). But, you know, whatever. (Both are playing at AMC, btw.)
b) Go shopping sometime (although, this is a possibility for Friday. I dunno.)

Oh, and PSA: The Grudge comes out on DVD February 1st. We must rent it and force Grace to watch it again. /evil

Okay, that was fun. Yay for events that may never happen!

OMG, my computer screen looks like it was assassinated. Its spirit is dying! *weeps for dead computer*

Okay you guys, I'm crazy. [22 Nov 2004|04:04pm]

[ mood | I just finished my UC app, yo! ]

I just made a poster last night. Yeah. I DON'T KNOW WHY EITHER. I don't even know what it's a poster FOR. I just...made it. Kind of by accident, since those drawings were for a mix CD. And this...isn't one.

Uh, if you want to see evidence of my insanity.Collapse )

...I just realized that I could SO EASILY turn this into an econ. ad. Dude. But I won't.

[ mood | why is there no heat? ]

Vienna Teng is going to be in Berkeley at the Freight and Salvage Coffee House doing a show on December 29. No idea if I'm going to be around then, but it's during break, so.

Oh! And I just checked the website, and the Animators are going to be there also.

Anyone interested in going?

(It says that it's $17.50 in advance and $18.50 at the door.)

[ mood | fruit-y ]

Okay, so as you all know, I'm a total dork.

Anyway, I also love wasting time and procrastinating on things. It's a way of life, really.

Therefore. I made a writing and art journal. Totally for the header that I figured out I couldn't use. But hey, who cares! I wasted time, which is the important thing.

There probably won't be anything real there for a while, because of said love of procrastination, but it will still be...there. I think I'll have all the entries be public or private (which are obviously just for me).

It's all about the fruit. FRUIT!

...yes, I am aware of my utter lameness.

Hahaha.. the existance of this community amuses me:

It's Rosencrantz/Guildenstern. And there are over 100 members.

This song amuses me too. Half the time it sounds like she's singing underwater.

michael's a man-whore! [08 Oct 2004|03:15pm]

[ mood | sleepy ]

Because I may have a slight obsession with this song...

Two alternate versions.

Franz Ferdinand - Michael (Simon Bookish remix)
Franz Ferdinand - Michael (live) - In this version, "come and dance with me Michael" is changed to "come all over me Michael" at one point. *cough*

I think I still like the original the best, but hey.

michael, you're dancing like a beautiful dance whore [01 Oct 2004|04:23pm]

[ mood | dorky ]

I felt like uploading some Olympics-themed music for you guys. Because OMG, OBSESSION.

Franz Ferdinand - Michael - If you haven't heard this song yet? You HAVE TO. Michael, you're the boy with all the leather hips, sticky hair, sticky hips, stubble on my sticky lips... This song is SO about Michael Phelps.

Don Henley - The Boys of Summer - They so are the boys of summer. SO TRUE. Your brown skin shinin' in the sun / I see you walkin' real slow and you're smilin' at everyone.

Gene - Olympian - Dude, it's right in the title. This is also the song that I used on my wallpaper. Because it is AWESOME. So bring me water to cool off / Formidable and not afraid.

I miss the Olympics.

P.S. Pics and squealing coming later.

Random HP fic rec. [17 Sep 2004|03:02pm]

[ mood | waaahh ]

Missa by mirasfics.

Post-war vignettes from the POV of multiple characters, G. It's absolutely *heartbreaking*. Strangely enough, I think my favorite part was from Lockhart's POV, which goes to show you how good it is. Read it.

Also? There is a mention of silver and green together in Harry's vignette. Instant bonus points!

[I just noticed that the last five posts, including this one, have been made by me. People! Post! So says the girl who hasn't updated her own journal in nearly three weeks.]
